Weddings photography is more than just simply photographing a pretty dress, perfectly arranged flowers, and a beautiful venue. It's about taking artful direction to create raw, authentic imagery with genuine emotions. As a film photographer and chaser of light, I love to create soft, romantic, and airy images. I embrace the beautiful grain in film, which I believe adds soul and character to images, I believe in the power of the little details. Each small details plays a role in the overall story.
I'm based out of Washington, DC, but available worldwide! I love to travel here, there and everywhere! Just let me know where you want me to go and I'll pack my bags. Send me a note and I might just add your destination to my itinerary ;).
Dates are typically reserved 8-14 months before the wedding. Please contact me and tell me as much information as you can: tell me about the date, about yourself, about the place, kind of event, decor, dress, and so on. The more details the better! If the desired date is available, it's yours after the signing of a contract and 50% retainer.
Couples receive one-on-one communication throughout their engagement, guidance with planning and styling the engagement session, and assistance in creating the wedding day photography timing.
Wedding collections start at $2000. Please contact me for more information.
Not at all! I also take on a limited number of anniversaries, editorials, family portraits, and maternity sessions each year. Send me the information for your dream shoot and I will do my best to make your shooting unforgettable!
I believe in quality over quantity! The total number of photos varies on the number of hours booked but couples can expect to receive about 80 photos per hour of coverage. All images are fully edited, consistent, and include reprinting rights. Online galleries are delivered 4-8 weeks following the wedding. For portrait sessions, online galleries are delivered within 2-3 weeks.
Both! I'm a "hybrid photographer." I'm drawn to film's dynamic range, color tones, soft skin colors and stunning grain. Film works best in natural light so I usually turn to digital in low-light settings and when catching a lot of action shots including Grandma Bertha's moves on the dance floor!
I use medium format film cameras including the Contax 645 and Pentax 645 and the 35mm Canon EOS3 camera. For digital, I use both a Canon 5D Mark III and Canon 6D. I use a variety of lenses including the Carl Zeiss 80mm f/2, Takumar SMC 105mm f/2.4, Canon 35mm f/1.4L II and 85mm f/1.2L, and Sigma 50mm f/1.4 DG HSM Art and 135mm f/1.8 DG HSM Art.
Absolutely! I love the intimacy of elopements. Whether you're eloping on a mountaintop or having a small gathering at a private residence, send me the details and we'll find the package that works best for you.
